President Obama vows to cut healthcare costs by providing a government insurance option that will limit what doctors, hospitals and drug companies can charge for their services and products. Like Medicare today, Government will reimburse a small percentage, rather than what it really costs the providers. If an insurance company tries this, the doctor drops them. I guarantee dropping the Federal Government won't be an option. Obama says his plan will spend less for medicines, less for doctors and healthcare professionals, while at the same time increasing the number of people being treated. This will improve our healthcare system. If this will work, why not cut teacher's salaries and get smarter kids?

Recently I heard an excellent comparison of President Obama's healthcare plan versus public education. If you listen to liberal prescriptions for fixing education, they always include increased pay for teachers, increased funding for buildings and school facilities and more money for computers, textbooks, etc. In other words, spend more on education, pay the educators more, and get better results. The State of New Jersey currently pays over $14,000 per year per public school student and the libs say that's not enough.
