Friends of Liberty VOL 10
06/09/2009
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty."
-President John Kennedy, 1961
Today's media and Beltway insiders would consider these words extreme. Do you hear any apologies in Kennedy's words? Do you hear any appeasement? Does he acknowledge that there are those in the world who wish us ill and is he putting them on notice? How does this compare to the "apology tour" of our current president?
America has liberated hundreds of millions of people from tyranny all over the world, and yes, that includes 25 million in Iraq and 5 million in Afghanistan and our current president apologizes for this and assures the world we won't impose our values on them?
I'm sure there are tyrants all over the world sleeping better tonight. America is officially abandoning her role as messenger of freedom and guardian of liberty.
Well done, Mr. President...
